Fairy Tale Festival - THE GREAT MOTHER

A magical weekend that will lead you to rediscover fairy tales through an intellectual, anthropological and cultural investigation.

Fairy tales will once again be the undisputed protagonists of the seventh edition of the Festival, but there will also be cycles of conferences, shows and music.

The theme of this edition is THE GREAT MOTHER. “We were told that the Great Mother has the appearance of an old woman, so ugly that how could I dare to represent her? I therefore chose to evoke her, not limiting myself to a single painting but addressing the theme through a cycle of works that try to tell it, sometimes with irony, other times with amazement,” explains the artist Stefania Gagliano (Stella), who also created the symbolic image of the 2020 Festival and will exhibit a solo show on the theme as part of the event.

“The anthropological and social value of “telling oneself fairy tales” is as old as the appearance of man on earth: fairy tales were always told in the place of doing, before rest, in front of the fire, eating and drinking.” For this reason, the Festival events will take place at the Filatoio cultural club, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy fantastic aperitifs, dinners or lunches, and in various locations in the Tempio District.
